Warnings: Referenced child abuse; brief reference to minor/background violent death.
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always. As a note, angels do not do gender the way humans do; in canon, Gabriel usually presents as male and Lux is presenting as female. In keeping with that, they are a man and woman, respectively, in this AU (and, most likely, any other all-human AUs I might or might not come up with in the future). Michaela, on the other hand, doesn't...really do anything like that? Michaela's relationship with gender is weird and complicated. But for the purposes of all-human AUs like this one, where gender matters, Michaela does have one. In this particular AU, Michaela is a woman.
