Mine is not a dull life

Name: [personal profile] jkatkina
Story: Fensirt
Colors: Skylight #11 (Never a dull moment)
Amber #7 (mine) (creatively interpreted as "THIS IS MINE" rather than "mineshaft")
Supplies/Styles: Illustration
Rating: G
Warnings: none
Summary: Kaitan hangs a target.
Notes: Relates to this piece.

This is more or less a rough, not a finished piece, but I like it and don't want to spend too much time obsessing over it.

I also want to put it out there that I did the final application of textures to the rock and Kaitan with a mouse, while drunk. Yay me.

You nailed it. Painting deserts is difficult for precisely that reason. The light behaves so differently that people who try to render it based on their observations of temperate light will get things wrong. Same with tropical savannas.

I'd enjoy seeing more of this.

Cool!

>> I see you just subscribed to my journal! Fair warning: the pieces I post there often goes through significant changes before I post it to rainbowfic, so if you want the finished versions of stuff, wait till I put it up in the community. <<

That's okay. It gives me two chances to see stuff scrolling through my friends list.
