Summary: Danny gets her first tattoo.

She's eighteen and one day old when she gets her first tattoo. She's been planning it since she was fifteen.
There was a boy, and yeah, that's a dumb reason to get a tattoo. But this boy glowed. He had so much where she had nothing. He had parents who loved him, wealthy and carefree—to her he was shining, a shooting star, and when he kissed her she thought she could fly.
He died. She drew it at the funeral. A phoenix in flight on her left shoulderblade, light and freedom.
She'll fly for him. For herself.
She'll fly.
