Iceberg #7, Ivory #13
Name: shadowsong26
Story: Trying New Things
'Verse: Feredar
Colors: Iceberg #7. skiing, Ivory #13. Friday night I crashed your party. Saturday I said I'm sorry. Sunday came and trashed me out again.
Supplies and Materials: miniature, photography, frame (around 995 FY), feathers, chalk, glitter, glue ("Don't back down if things heat up; continue to hold your ground with a smile.")
Word Count: 100
Rating: G
Characters: Isshiri
Warnings: None. Well, a broken wrist at the end.
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always.
Isshiri imagined flying would be something like this.
It was bright, cold, the wind whipping at his face, tiny particles of snow or ice or whatever the word was this high in the mountains diving under his scarf like sand, with only thin sticks of wood for support and guidance.
The payoff was worth the awkwardness of strapping them on and learning how to balance.
Well, it was, until a tree emerged from the snow and he couldn't remember how to stop.
At least it was only his wrist that broke. He'd had worse.
He couldn't wait to try again.

Nope. Also, with sledding, he has a lot more control over steering than with skis, so if there were a sudden tree, he'd have a better chance of avoiding it.
