Awwwwwwwwww. As someone disabled we usually add disabled protagonists wherever we go, so it's nice to see this kitty!

As for whether the name is offensive, we thought it was based on the shell pattern on the back, not because they limp. If a name isn't an outright slur of some sort, the context for why the name exists is what matters most -- at least this is our pov on the matter.

fun fact cats adapt quickly to three-legged life! tho that's for amputee cats, but maybe Turtle might not even walk on their bad leg...

Yeah, both cats and dogs (and humans too) can adapt well to amputee/less useful limb life. Though cats are especially impressive with the acrobatics.

Depending on how bad the leg is, Turtle could indeed not use it, but if it causes too much pain they might do better with amputation. (This is something humans have to consider too.) But there are a lot of ways things can work out!

I'd imagine it's not painful, just... the leg just won't work to walk on. might hurt a bit when touched, but defo not to life-quality-hurting levels
