Zing, 9 + stain + modeling clay + beading wire.
Author: Sara
Colors: Zing, 9. if I throw a stick, will you leave?
Supplies: Stain ("Artificial Intelligence is no match for natural stupidity."), Modeling Clay ("battle"), Beading Wire
Word Count: 220
Rating: PG
Story: Polyfaceted; title of this is GTFO.
Summary: Dan heads a bad night off at the pass.
Notes: Takes place in April 2017.
Dan warily eyes the guy who just walked in. He’s wearing a money clip, he has his sunglasses on inside, and when he gets close enough…he’s pretty sure that’s Axe body spray he’s bathed in.
Dan glances over at the Corlioni table, where Nicoletta, Isabella, and an 18-year-old Cristina are seated. This isn’t going to end well.
“We’re out,” he says pleasantly. “My stock is late. There’s a place a couple blocks over you might like.”
“You’re out,” he says disbelievingly. “But everyone else has drinks.”
Dan sighs. “Look, you can’t do this job without learning about people. I know you’re going to try to hit on one of those women over there, I know it isn’t going to end well, I know you’re going to get pissed, and I know that they’re going to hurt you. So just save yourself the pain—turn around and leave now. It’s for your own good.”
“Fuck you, man!” says the guy. “I’m going to go spend my money where it’s appreciated.” He leaves in a huff.
Nicoletta approaches the bar just a few seconds later. “Another round, and an order of wings,” she says, and glances after the guy. “What was that about?”
“He didn’t like my selection,” Dan says, shrugging.
“What a fucking idiot.”
He smiles. “Your order will be right out.”

Oh dude, the trouble Dan saved you. If he thought you'd play nice, then that'd be different, but he knows that type.
Good job!

Seeeeeeeeriously. If that dude had even the faintest clue the pain he just avoided, he would want to be his best friend.
Thanks!

Hahaha, Dan, I love you. He's just all kinds of protective and intuitive. This is sort of hilarious.
Great job.
