Lust 30, Rust 4: Love
Author: Kat
Title: Love
Story: In The Heart
Colors: Lust 30 (afterglow), rust 4 (musty) with Sara's paint-by-numbers ("Huh. I didn't know I still had this.")
Supplies and Materials: Pastels (enlightenment).
Word Count: 117
Rating: G.
Summary: Danny, on Lars.
Warnings: none.
Notes: One sonnet wasn't enough.
So what is love? A dusty valentine
Forgotten in the corner of a drawer
And found years later, crinkled a bit by time,
Pressed to the heart, longing for days of yore.
Perhaps it's fights, words thick and fast and hot
Like sharpened daggers flying through the air
'Til lovers rest, all raging words forgot
Gaze on each other, and think each other fair.
And yet again, maybe it's simple trust
To put your hand in mine, without a frown
To put your heart with mine, blow off my dust
And never fear that I will let you down.
It's all of these, and still it is yet more:
Love makes this broken world worth fighting for.
