Notes: Poetry on the nature of stories is becoming a trope in this verse and I am so okay with that. It works well and even though it's a mash-up of some of the girls, I think it still stands true..

And this is how the story goes, how the words fall into place.
But I'm no more a fairy tale girl and I am not bound to this stage.
Because I am free and I am feral and I am something that came before the page.
I am more than a story, more then letters and syllable and syntax and sayings
Maybe stories build me up but I blossom between the lines and after the book is closed.
I'm the creature that jumps off the page, the monster at the end of the story.
I'm an not forgetful and I am not forgotten and I am so much more than memory can hold.
I am the girl in the red hood, wearing the glass slippers, telling the stories to keep living.
And I am none of those things, and I am more than those things and I am beyond anything you've ever known.
I shed my 'Once upon a time' long ago, broke those binds, slipped through that cage.
And now I am something that will jump at you, attack from the hidden places that go beyond the page.

Oh, I like this! I like how the first two lines keep to a strict meter, and then the words start bursting the bounds of the poem. Beyond the page indeed.
