Alex watches her. Sitting alone, on a bench, in the park. Staring blankly in front of her.
Silently he walks over to her. Forcing a smile on his face when he sets himself down next to her.
"Hey Nelly. How are you?"
She doesn't look aside to acknowledge him when she replies. "Fine."
He places a warm hand on her shoulder. She does not remember. All he has done. All the pain he's caused. But he does. And watching over her is the least he could do.
