The alley behind her apartment is always so dark. No street lights. Just the light of the moon and the stars (if it’s a cloudless night) but they’re not nearly enough.

Freya hates it to walk alone through that street at night. It always gives her the creeps. She doesn't mind if she's with Nick. His hand in hers is reassuring.

Looking aside, she sees something strange on top of the garbage bins. A soft laugh escapes her when she pictures the top hat on Nick's head. Perhaps she should convince him to wear one on Susan and Liam's wedding.
