Notes: Takes place in October 2040. Just because I adore sharing pictures of Chloe's dog, everybody meet Winnie, named so because she looks like Pooh Bear. The ring is question is this one at ModCloth.

Chloe's life was turned upside down when she became 'Cherry Cherry Boom Boom', and naturally, so was Kurt's. Her album dropped, and suddenly she was famous, he was celebrity arm candy (not that he minded), and they had more money than he knew what to do with.

Than he knew what to do with. Judging by the apartment they lived in now and everything they owned, Chloe knew how to spend it just fine. And now it was a few weeks before her first tour started, a few weeks until she had a few shows in New York City and left for Boston without him. That was a decision that neither of them were very happy about, and Kurt could see it in Chloe. She'd been getting stressed lately, anxious about things, so he talked to Jax for ideas, and then talked to Faith for help with the execution of said ideas, and now he was just waiting for Chloe to get home.

She knew something was up as soon as she walked in the door and saw him waiting for her. Her eyes lit up. "Do I have presents?"

Kurt laughed. "Yes."

She squeaked in delight and rushed over to kiss him. "Have I mentioned how very handsome you are today?"

"It's always nice to hear," he said, smiling. "I got you a bunny."

Chloe gasped, her eyes widening in wonder. "You got me a bunny?" she repeated, her voice going up a few octaves on the last word.

He pulled the ring out of his pocket, hoping the initial gimmick wouldn't get him in trouble. It was an inexpensive ring, but he hope she would think it was cute. It's a simple silver band, with a rabbit face molded into the front, and a bronze carrot beside it. "I thought it might cheer you up," he explained. "And that way, when you're on tour and get sad, or anxious, and can't talk to me for some reason, you'll still have something cute."

To his happiness, she laughed and took it from him, slipping it into one of her index fingers. "It's so cute!" She leaned up to kiss him again. "I love it."

He grinned and shoved his hands back into his pocket. "I also got you a puppy. Same add-on applies."

"A puppy ring?"

"It's on the dresser."

The look Chloe gave him told Kurt that she knew something was up, but not what, which was a good thing. It wouldn't be much of a surprise, that way. She hurried to the bedroom, and he tensed in anticipation.

There wasn't a second ring on the dresser, but Chloe did shriek in delight when she saw the Pomeranian puppy.
