When Ivy was twelve years old, she brought home a Rottweiler.

She found him tied up in an alley with a huge spiked collar and a miserable expression. Ivy wasn't stupid about animals exactly but she was usually fearless, and the collar had a really obvious catch.

"Mom!" she said cheerfully, while the Rottweiler licked her face and growled at anyone who came too near. "Dad! He followed me home, can I keep him?"

Her parents were inclined to shout, but they gave in eventually, if only because the Rottweiler refused to be seperated from her.

Ivy called him Pookie.

Probably! Pookie may or may not have discouraged a bunch of bullies in high school. :D

SHE TOTALLY DOGNAPPED A DOG IN CANON TOO except she didn't get to keep that one, because he was considerably smaller and less threatening. BUT POOKIE LOVES HIS DOGNAPPER OKAY.

Probably! Ivy got beat up less in Mad Scientist AU because, while she's still reckless and loud-mouthed and short, she also now has a gigantic Rottweiler that adores her and hates every other living thing. So, you know. He'll come up again.
