Summary: Emma wants to help her friends.
Warnings: none really today
Notes: Emma spoke up to me today when I was trying to find someone who would want to help her friends. I'm starting to love Emma she's pretty great. She's also my first half demon/half human character that I've introduced. Well enjoy!
I'm here to help...
Emma realized at a young age that boys were silly. She didn’t have any brothers, but she had enough cousins to know that by time she was eight years old. She didn’t understand why her cousins fought all the time or her older cousins wouldn’t talk to the girl they really liked. Both things had such easy solutions. She broke up enough fights between her younger cousins and spoke up enough for her older cousins to know that boys were silly.
She often wondered if ice demon boys were as silly as human boys. She figured her half demon blood caused her irritability with her human friends and family. She thought things would change when she grew older. It seemed to get worse once hormones got involved. Emma didn’t stop shaking her head at the way some of the boys in her class took a glance at her or her friends when they thought she wasn’t looking.
She didn’t understand the attempts to get her attention by doing something dangerous or showing off in gym. If someone wanted to talk to her, they could come up to her. She wouldn’t bite, but that rarely happened. Emma knew her thoughts separated her from some of the girls in her class. She didn’t mind. She had Eric, Sam, Ed, and Christina. Once she met them, she didn’t see the need to try and talk to others who didn’t want to talk to her.
However, she recently ran into a small problem. Sam and Ed started to bother her. They didn’t do anything to her, but the way they tiptoed around each other made her well of patience start to dry.
In class, Ed looked at Sam out the corner of his eye when Sam wasn’t looking. In gym, Sam watched Ed and did the same during Ed’s soccer games. Emma made sure that Ed went to class when Sam was sick. If Ed missed class, she had to deal with a closed off, quiet Sam who spoke no more than a few words at a time.
It was obvious that they liked each other, but wouldn’t say anything. Every time Ed looked at Sam, Emma wanted to push him forward. She wanted to scream when Sam dragged his feet to class when Ed wasn’t around. She rolled her eyes when Ed whined the whole lunch period about Sam being too sick to answer his phone.
If no one noticed those two, they were very oblivious.
Senior year would start in a few days. She could feel a headache brewing at the thought of another year of watching them do the same thing. Based on the texts Ed sent her a few weeks ago, it looked to be heading that way. She loved them and wanted to help them.
Emma knew she had to show those two the Coven way of dating. At least demons were up front about what they wanted. She had a pile of books for them to use. She hoped they wouldn’t brush her help aside.
Out of all the boys she knew Ed and Sam had to be the silliest.
