He narrows his eyes. Watching her. Wondering. He's pretty sure she can feel his gaze resting on her. She doesn't react though... Not that he expected it.
She just stands there. Not moving. Only her hair and her dress do. Because of the wind. The wind is strong today. It makes Alan wonder if it is her doing.
When he sees Taigiri land next to Caithlynn, he lets a soft sigh escape his lips. He knows well enough the bond between a Wielder and its Dragon and the effects it has.
For a couple of minutes longer he just keeps looking at her, arms crossed over his chest. Eyes still narrowed a little. As if trying to figure her out. If only a little. She's a mystery to him. As he probably is to her. There are lots of secrets. He can feel it, feels how she tries to hide. There are lots of secrets. He knows she can feel him hide them as well.
Abruptly he turns around, walking away, into the forest. Needing Naigendra with him, right now. Just needing comfort, they don't have to talk...
His eyes narrow when the trees hide him from Caithlynn's sight. Danger. Something is coming. He can sense it. Everything around him breaths danger. Everything around him warns him.
"Naigendra?"
He doesn't need an explanation or an entire story. He just needs confirmation.
"Yes. I know."
A sigh escapes him. Again.
"When?"
He's startled when he hears his own voice tremble so much.
"I don't know little one. Soon..."
Closing his eyes, Alan takes a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves. Trying to be ready...
