"Am I... Am I doing the right thing Nick?"
Nick smiles reassuringly and places his hand on his friend's shoulder.
"Why are you doubting? You love her, don't you?"
Liam rolls his eyes. Just a little bit offended. "Off course I do!"
Nick nods his head, as if a point has been proven. "Then yes, you are doing the right thing."
They look at the moving boxes in their hands and around their feet.
"But..."
Nick looks back up when he hears the whisper next to him.
"What if she gets tired of me? What if..."
Before Liam can continue Nick kicks him, of course not too hard.
"I can't hit you because I'm carrying this box, but... Jeez Liam. Stop doubting! Have a little more faith in you. Have a little more faith in her. You love her. And everybody can see she's head over heels for you. You've been together for 2 years. You practically live together for a year already. Why would she suddenly change her mind because you officially move in with her?"
Liam grins sheepishly. "I know you're right. But..."
He stays silent for a second and his friend gives him the time he needs to find his words.
"But perhaps I am indeed a little bit too insecure. It's just... She's so amazing and I can't believe she loves me. Me of all people..."
Nick shakes his head once. "If I could I'd hug you, but. Don't worry. Please. Don't worry and just enjoy this."
Liam smiles and nods before knocking on Susan's front door.
"Why don't you just put the box down and ring the doorbell? Or go in with your own key?"
His friends just laughs. "Because."
It's only seconds later when Susan's smiling face greets them.
"Come on in boys."
She kisses Liam deeply, the box pressed between their bodies before she lets him walk to the bedroom so he can place his stuff there.
Nick smiles and kisses Susan's cheek before following his friend so he can finally put the box down.
"Nick."
He turns around when he hears Susan call out his name.
"Thank you."
For a moment he wonders what she means, until he sees the look in her eyes. She heard their conversation before her closed door. He smiles gently, reassuringly.
"You're welcome."
Winking before he walks to the bedroom.
"Come on Nick, hurry up, there are more boxes still."
He can hear the carefree laughter of his best mate and he chuckles softly.
