She smiles when she sees him standing in front of her. His back towards her. He still hasn’t seen her. Guiding car after car off the parking.
Freya shakes her head when she sees him stretch and crack his neck. She completely understands thought. After all, it’s already 4am. He hasn’t slept much the night before he left for the festival - and that is partly her fault, not that she feels even the least bit guilty. It was a great night... And now he’s been on this festival for two days already. And on top of that, it is a bit of a boring job he has to do. From little past midnight 'till 6am. It means little sleep in the morning before the next string of concerts begins.
She all but hides behind a car when he turns around, setting himself on the fence when there are no cars coming near. His hands as support next to him, letting his feet dangle in free air.
His long brown hair in a ponytail. She wants to pull the ribbon out of it and run her fingers through the locks.
He jumps back off the fence when he hears a car approach and Freya leaves her hiding place. Walking closer to him. Stopping when she arrives at the free car place next to where he is standing. She wonders when he will see her. Or perhaps she mustn’t wait until he notices her.
Biting her lip, she inches closer. Knows he will not see her. Too busy guiding another string off cars out of the parking. She leans against the fence he was sitting on earlier. Waits 'till the last car has passed - she can hear him sigh - before she brings up her arms, wrapping them around his waist and letting her head rest between his shoulder blades.
"I love you darling."
Surprised he looks behind. Eyes and mouth wide open. She just smiles at him, loses her hold so she can make him turn around completely, and tiptoes so she can kiss him.
It takes him a couple of seconds before he responds. Wrapping his arms around her shoulders, pulling her body even closer against his own. His tongue entering her mouth, battling hers. Demanding. Longing. Filled with passion and need. His fingers a desperate grip on her T-shirt.
Pulling back she takes a deep breath, opening her eyes slowly to look into his smiling face. One of her hands reaches up, caressing his face, before bringing his head down for another kiss. Slower this time. More caring. Gentler.
"What are you doing here?"
A soft whisper in the night. His mouth not leaving hers. Not yet.
"Being spontaneous."
She giggles when he tightens his embrace, letting his head rest on her shoulder.
"I like you being spontaneous..."
Another whisper and she shivers when his warm breath tickles her neck. It's a sensitive spot. And he knows it.
"Well, you said there was nothing to do between 4 and 6am. So I figured, why not?"
She moans when he gently kisses her neck and brings her hands up to bury themselves in his hair.
"I love you Nick."
She looks at him, questioningly, when he raises his head again. The look in his eyes is enough warning.
For a moment he stays silent, his head tilted sideways but his eyes still fixed on her. She narrows her own eyes, trying to read him, trying to figure out what he's planning. It's as if he's waiting for something. Intently listening to a sound that will...
He suddenly smiles brightly and bends forward, capturing her lips again. Gently he moves her backwards, away from the fence, making sure she doesn't bump into one of the parked cars.
Pulling back, only a little bit out of breath, placing her hands on his chest. Holding him back just a little bit, making him stop walking.
"Nick, what are you..." He cuts her off with another deep kiss and she can't help but moan again and bring her hands back up to get a grip on his hair. She's feeling her legs weaken already.
For a second she wants to object again, telling him he has to work. But then she realises what she actually heard as well when he was looking at her. The gate closing...
She giggles against his mouth and she can feel him smile while he tightens his arms around her waist. Kissing him again before pulling back just a little.
"And just what are you up to? Guiding me to an empty parking lot between empty cars?"
Her voice is filled with mirth and he can see the mischief in her eyes.
"Nothing..."
Laughing she lets him lead her further to the empty place where she was hiding only minutes ago. Closes her eyes when he kisses her neck once more. When she opens them again - when she feels how he lets go of her - she sees him laying a blanket on the ground. A questioning look. He just shrugs and smiles. It makes her shake her head, laughing softly, taking a quick look at the empty spot on the fence where it was hanging before. She hadn't noticed he took it with him when he started walking.
Gently he takes her hand in his own, setting himself down and pulling her against him.
"Don't worry. I just want to hold you and cuddle some more."
A soft whisper before he kisses her again. Calm and careful. Freya just smiles and kisses him back. Letting her hands run over his chest and his back, fingers caressing his neck.
