Fuzzy Wuzzy 2 - Sculpture - Reimaging - Retouch
Name: Kana
Title: Sleeping
Story: Circle never ends
Characters: Nick, Freya
Colors: Fuzzy Wuzzy 2 Sleep Cute
Supplies and Styles: Sculpture - Reimaging - Retouch
Word count: 305

Summary: Nick watching Freya sleep
Notes: Constructive criticism is, as always, welcome
Nick knows, the first time he stayed over the night, that Freya didn't sleep. At least, didn't sleep much. Not used to having someone lying next to her. Or perhaps it was because she still couldn't believe he loved her as well, couldn't believe she could curl up to him and have his arms around him and...
He was hers. And she was his. It was all she ever wanted. And she still couldn't completely believe it.
Smiling he watches her. A ray of moonlight falling through the curtains. He lets his fingers grace her cheek. Carefully. He doesn't want to wake her up. The day has been hard on her. She needs her sleep now.
He felt guilty when she told him she hadn't slept much that night. Her kisses and the look in her eyes quickly reassured him though. It wasn't because of him, not the way he thought it was.
He hasn't told her yet - though he suspects she might know it already anyway - but sometimes he stays awake longer, just to watch her sleep. She looks... differently when she's asleep. Peaceful and calm and without a care in the world. So different from the worry and pain she carries throughout the day. The cancer is being hard on her.
Carefully he lets his fingers run through her hair, leaning closer to place a gently kiss on her forehead. Smiling when he sees the small smile on her face while she inches closer to his side.
And he thinks her gorgeously cute. Though he hasn't told her that either. Yet.
Closing his eyes he holds her close to him. "I love you Freya." It's but a soft whisper and he knows she can't possibly have heard it. But it doesn't really matter. He'll be sure to tell her again tomorrow...
