I took a life once.

I know how, of course. I am a physician; such things are learned almost by accident.

He asked me, and would have suffered much if I had not. I would not unmake that decision, and I would do it for someone else, if necessary, but only under like circumstances.

Because some principles have to stand—particularly in my family, where I worry I am the only one who has them. I may look the other way, may grant a death was earned, may not mourn someone killed for justice’s sake…but I would never do it.

YAY I GOT THIS. And I really like it. It seems very... in-character for Ineku, that his only reason to kill would be mercy.
