Summary: Marguerite stalls on the way to her new homeland.

Notes: Marguerite is the younger sister of Henri I. His second daughter by Anna was named after her.
Marguerite paced in the field. It was early morning and the sun was rising over the hills. It was beautiful and the view looked exactly liked her mother’s paintings.
Her mother…she missed her greatly. She missed her papa and her siblings, especially little Claude.
Marguerite took a deep breath. They were almost to the capital.
“Princess?”
Marguerite turned around as the Olav, the Segrian ambassador to Monde, came scuttling towards her.
She sighed.
“Are you alright?”
Marguerite nodded.
“They are expecting you,” Olav said quietly.
“I know.”
“We must get there.”
Marguerite clutched her gown. “I know, but I am nervous.”
Olav smiled showing yellowed teeth.
“Everything will be alright princess.”
Marguerite bit her lip.
“These are your mother’s people. They’ll take good care of you.”
Marguerite didn’t answer.
“Come,” Olav said. “I promise you’ll like it here.”
Marguerite allowed herself to be led away.
“What if he doesn’t like me? He wanted my sister.”
Olav smiled slightly. “I’m sure he’ll be happy with you princess. Who wouldn’t be?”
