Dear Mama and Papa:
When I was a little girl I depended on you completely. Everything I needed came from you—clothes, food, shelter, socialization, love, you gave it all to me, and you never made me feel I was a bother for needing it. You told me that I was perfect, when I knew I was not. You made me feel that I was loved.
You still do. I may be grown, and I may be able to get these things for myself, but there is always comfort in coming home.
I love you for that. I always will.
Dear Ivy and Aaron:
You are the best siblings anyone could ask for. I mean it. I do not think anyone has better siblings than you. I know that you are much older than me, and when I was born you might have ignored me, but you did not. You went out of your way to spend time with me, and when you saw I had no friends, you shared your friends with me.
I am so glad you are happy with your families. I am honored that you still call me sister.
I hope I can see you soon.
Dear Lars and Gina:
I consider you my siblings. I hope you know that. Of course, Gina, you are my sister now, but even before you and Ivy could be married I thought of you as my sister. And Lars, you are... you are. You always were. I do not have the words, but I think you know anyway.
You have never treated me as if I was strange, as if I bothered or confused you. When I need advice, you give it, no questions asked. I do not know where I would be without you.
Someplace worse, I'm sure.
Dear Zack and Felipe:
I don’t know what I can say to you that I haven't already said. I love you. I am yours in a way that I have never been with anyone else. I want to be with you always, both of you—I want to wake up every morning to your breathing.
Even your snoring, Zack.
But more than that, I feel at home with you. I feel comfortable. I do not always need to watch for slips, because you don't care. Not that you don't notice, you don't care.
You share my heart. You always will.
To myself, a reminder:
You are intelligent, and quick, and thoughtful. You are quiet, and pretty, and well-read. You are a daughter, a sister, a wife—someday you will be a mother, and you will be as good at it as you are at the others.
Maybe there are some things wrong with you. Is there anyone who is perfect? I think that there is less wrong and more right with you than many others. I hope you know that. I think you can depend on yourself.
I think you are wonderful. I hope this reminds you, when you forget.
Love, Summer

It's touching and not sticky sweet. It's just right.
Just like Lars is Lars and that's that because it says effing everything.
