Summary: Nick distracting her during training
Notes: Constructive criticism is, as always, welcome
She's serious when she watches him. The same look on his face.
Freya narrows her eyes when she sees Nick move forward. His punches aimed at her face. Perfectly controlled. She moves quickly, stepping out of the way, countering with a punch against his side.
Safe distance. Waiting. She's not one to attack. Certainly not Nick. He'll stop her with a well-placed mae geri as soon as she gets in range.
Once more he moves forward. The same attack. It nearly makes her smile. She asked for that series of punches. Asked if he could give it more often than usual this training. She wants to get a decent defense reflex for it instead of just stepping backwards while trying to block it. It's not good enough...
Once again she takes two steps backwards, scowling a little, before she steps aside. Her hand reaching out, blocking and guiding his arm further, preventing him to follow her sideways.
A safe distance again. He soon attacks again though, not giving her time to catch her breath. She wouldn't want him to either.
Her defense is good. The counter that follows - a back turning kick - follows naturally. It makes him bend over for a second.
"Sorry."
He looks back up when she stands next to him, her hand on his shoulder. His smile just slightly evil.
"No, it was a perfect control."
Quickly he takes a hold of her wrist. His other arm around her neck, his hand taking a hold of her vest. Placing his leg behind both her legs. He sets himself down, pulling her over his leg towards the ground. She curses when she hits the tatami and feels how he follows in a stranglehold, pinning her to the mat.
"Oh, damn you! You are evil. It's not fair..."
His soft chuckle near her ear is enough reason to try and free herself. She will not give him the satisfaction of surrendering without a fight.
"No no no. I am not going to let you go."
She can see the looks on the faces of the others. All know Nick is much stronger than Freya and all know - including Freya - that if Nick pins you down, you rarely ever manage to get out if he really doesn't want you to.
"Besides."
His warm breath tickles her ear when he starts whispering.
"You are mine."
She abruptly stops her movements of trying to free herself, when he places his lips against her neck.
A sharp intake of breath and it takes a lot of willpower not to moan softly. Her hands balled to fists, an iron grip on the back of his vest.
"Meanie."
Smiling he stands up, knowing she will not continue the ground fight, offering her his hand. She reaches out and he helps her up, pulling her against his chest, holding her close. Of course she wraps her arms around his waist, letting her head rest against his chest.
Nick knows though, that the hug is not enough to make the thought of revenge disappear. Despite Freya loving hugs. It's something she absolutely adores. And Nick knows perfectly why. After all, he loves hugs as well. It just makes you smile. Makes you feel good and loved.
"Just you wait. I'm still going to get you for this..."
She frees herself out of his embrace. Shooting him a mock angry glare before smiling up at him. Her fingers gently gracing his cheek.
"I love you though."
A soft whisper before turning away, going to help some of the youngsters with their exercises.
Smiling Nick shakes his head before doing the same. She once told him how glad she was he loved hugs as much as she did. How glad she was he never pushed her away - even before they were a couple - how glad she was he sometimes sought out her hugs as well.
Closing his eyes for a second. Already knowing they'll fall asleep in each other's arms tonight. Like every night. It's nice waking up that way in the morning.
