Xanadu 10, Cotton Candy 11: Out
Author: Kat
Title: Out
Story: In the Heart -- Regency AU
Colors: Xanadu 10 (paradise lost), cotton candy 11 (play house) with blossom's paint-by-numbers (Yvonne knows that being the perfect wife and mother is not the life for her)
Supplies and Materials: Canvas, miniature, eraser (Regency AU), glitter ("The Constitution only gives people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself." – Benjamin Franklin)
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG
Summary: Yvonne comes to a conclusion.
Warnings: none.
Notes: Written with a headache, ow.
Yvonne was braiding Olivia's hair when it dawned upon her.
She was so bored in this quiet little house in the country. Her life with Hugh had been good enough while they lived in London, where she had access to parties and shops and lovers, but now.... well, now what? The maids cared for Olivia and the house. Novels were all very well, but they couldn't fill a day.
Hugh had suggested she visit the poor. Ugh.
"Ow, Mama! Not so tight!" Olivia complained.
"Quiet," Yvonne said, irritated, and tied off the braid.
She had to get out of here.
