Halloween Orange
Name: Charley
Story: Golden, Broken Or Lost
Colors: Halloween Orange: Our roads may be golden or broken or lost but we'll walk on them willingly knowing the cost.
Rating: PG
Warnings: None
Notes: back to poems Poems involving verses that I am still trying to play with but ones all the same. I rather love this verse so far though and would love to write more in it, although I'm not sure I will just yet. However, I would like a tag for it if no one minds.
Snow White and Sleeping Beauty hold hands as they walk down the path.
Laughing, kissing and spinning down the crooked lane.
Cinderella meets them at the crossroads
Her face warmed by the sun and the kiss of Red Riding Hood.
The four of them meed Rose Red at the end of the path.
Her fingers dripping with blood and knowledge.
"I've seen other worlds," she says to them.
"I've seen paths we've not taken."
And the fox, with her many tails and bright eyes
Laughs at them all, dancing her way down the overgrown way.
"Come with me," she sings out to them. "I'll show you the way."
And they look at each other, touching hands and smiling.
Because these girls, these fairy tales, these women of words
Believe in more than just their world
They believe in life and light and darkness and delight.
They believe in mischief and mystery and magic and might.
They believe in each other and themselves and the worlds around them.
They believe in so much, they believe in everything.
So they walk down the path, each of them holding another's hand.
And they follow the fox down the road
