Tiffany Blue #3
Name: shadowsong26
Story: Everybody Loves You Now
'Verse: Feredar
Colors: Tiffany Blue #3. tennis bracelet (dressing up)
Supplies and Materials: Paint-by-numbers (from kat), canvas (roughly 1 year prior to the main narrative), miniature
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG-13
Characters: Princess Kesshare
Warnings: Callous discussion of previous murders.
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always. The title comes from the Billy Joel song of the same name. "Quicklight" is the term Glass uses for fire-mages who fail to learn to control their driving passions and either self-destruct or anger someone else enough to get themselves killed, usually in their late teens or early twenties.
Kesshare had prepared for this moment for decades.
She had married strategically, (Ineku was a non-mage, making quicklight children less likely, and was loving as she wasn't, making their children more stable overall), maneuvered into an indispensable position at her uncle's court (until his children caught on--Ulore wouldn't have acted without tacit approval from his siblings), disposed of her three surviving cousins (Minalu first, through a weakened floor, Lidare poisoned over a year, Odaki just days ago, down the stairs), and now she was here.
She smiled as the rose-glass circlet settled onto her hair. Now my empire begins.
