Bubblegum Pink 7, Cotton Candy 2: one step
Author: Kat
Title: one step
Story: In the Heart -- Unnamed AU
Colors: Bubblegum pink 7 (Playground), cotton candy 2 (Tag) with blossom's paint-by-numbers (Little Ivy gives Aaron a scare when he can’t find her during a game).
Supplies and Materials: Canvas (ages in story), miniature, eraser (I Do Not Like This AU).
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG
Summary: Between one step and the next, Ivy disappeared.
Warnings: missing child.
Notes: I wrote all of these before midnight-- here's hoping they still count.
Between one step and the next, Ivy disappeared.
It was that quick. She was still young, after all—Aaron was thirteen and that made him practically grown but Ivy was only eight. Nearly nine, she'd say, with a stubborn jut to her chin, but it didn't matter because she was gone.
He asked the moms, checked the playground, under plastic equipment and over the swings and not a red hair anywhere. It was a uniquely terrifying version of tag, or hide and seek, and he was it, and his sister was gone.
What the hell was he supposed to do?
