Alice Blue 17
Author:
geena
Color: Alice Blue 17. it's a poor sort of memory that only works backwards
Supplies and Styles: Eraser, Stain (“We can know only that we know nothing. And that is the highest degree of human wisdom.”), and Miniature
Rating: G
Word Count: 100
Story: Polyfaceted (Index~Timeline); the title of this story is Inconceivable.
Summary: Torey and Eileen are expecting their second child, though only one of them knows this.
Notes: This is part of the Sight AU in which Torey is precognitive. It takes place in May of 2007.
***
The second time around, Torey knows that Eileen is pregnant before they even conceive.
He spends five weeks straight watching her surreptitiously, sneaking glances and smiles when her back is turned. Simply waiting, he holds her close each night, one hand pressed low on her stomach.
“You knew, didn’t you?” she confronts him. “Don’t lie, something’s been up with you for weeks now. You bastard, you knew.”
Torey cringes. “Maybe?”
“Bastard,” she repeats, sighing. “Well, what’s the name? You must be able to tell me the name, at least.”
“Jacob,” Torey replies, relieved. “We’ll call him Jacob.”

Eileen is omnisicent. It's her superpower. Torey should know this already.

Man, Eileen is like a goddess, with all that she knows. Idk how he thought he could ever hide anything from her.
