Alice Blue 16
Author:
geena
Color: Alice Blue 16. you're mad, bonkers, completely off your head. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.
Supplies and Styles: Seed beads, miniature.
Rating: G
Word Count: 100
Story: Polyfaceted (Index~Timeline); the title of this story is Normality.
Summary: Lena and Karen, on an average morning
Notes: Lena is Johnny and Michael's adopted daughter, while Karen is her signifcant other.
***
Lena usually wakes up first-- she doesn’t sleep much. Slipping carefully out of bed, she heads to the kitchen to start the tea kettle, then putters over to the medicine cabinet to arrange that day's pills. Antidepressants and anti-anxiety medication for the both of them, followed by Lena’s mood stabilizer and Karen’s triptan for her migraines. Later, Lena will gather her sleep aids, but that can wait until the evening.
She makes toast, steeps the tea when the water is boiled, and prepares a tray to take back to the bedroom.
Lena hates that their normality requires a little assistance.

I love this, though. It says a lot about both of them with not many words. Well done.

Lovely little story, with just this faint overlay of sadness. Great job.
