"Come out, darling," Gina said coaxingly, stroking the lump of blankets in the center of the bed. "It can't be that bad."
"Yes, it can," the blankets said, muffled and slightly raspy.
Gina stifled a simile. "You will feel much better for a cup of tea and some soup."
"No, I won't," said the blankets.
"Come on, now," she said, this time admonishing, "you're behaving like a little boy. Like a baby."
The blankets shifted and a head poked out, nose an alarming shade of red. "Little boys have the right idea," Ivy said.
Gina kept herself from laughing. Somehow.
