Russet #12, Old Lace #17
Name: shadowsong26
Story: A New Day
'Verse: Feredar
Colors: Russet #12. polyester [Fake.], Old Lace #17. The most nervous people are far more brave than one really thinks they are.
Supplies and Materials: paint-by-numbers (From Kelly), tapestry, photography, miniature, eraser (Urban Fantasy AU), brush (piggyback), fabric, modeling clay, chalk, seed beads, novelty beads, glitter (spring)
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG
Characters: Nellid
Warnings: Heart transplant
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always. Last Russet!
The scar was still visibly red, but Nellid knew it would fade. He could barely see the scars from his neonatal surgery, after all.
He traced it with his eyes, and wondered if having someone else's heart changed him somehow. Yeah, he'd thought through that before--individual therapy and group, all part of the process--but it was...different, now that he actually had the heart.
He still felt like himself, though. More than he had in like two years, even.
Nellid smiled a little at his scar, in gratitude, then turned away from the mirror to finish getting ready for school.
