"There is a reason Alan."

He looks up to the sky when he hears Naigendra's gentle voice in his head. Even though he knows his Dragon is not yet to be seen. Will not be seen.

"I know."

Without really wanting to, his gaze shifts towards his hands. How easily it would be to let the fire consume everything...

His eyes narrow when the thought crosses his mind.

Sighing he balls his hands to fists.

"But this is not really me Naigendra..."

Closing his eyes he wants nothing more but to hide against his Dragon's side.

I can imagine how frustrated Alan might be when heard this. We know there must be a reason but that doesn't make t right. I hope Naigendra will soon be there to comfort him.

Nya, knowing there is a reason, doesn't always make it right.
He's too stubborn yet to ask for Caithlynn's help/comfort. But Naigendra is always there. Even if the Dragon is not near. ^^

Poor guy. I'm glad he's got somebody to hang on to here, at least.

He's still not trusting Caithlynn enough. But his Dragon, he knows he can get comfort from her whenever he needs it. ^^
