That is very quiet. :-( If you don't mind me going a bit tech-support, what recording program do you use? The one that most people recced me when I first looked into podficcing (a year or two ago) was Audacity, which is free and has a lot of good features, including an Amplify setting that's worked very, very well for me. (Not that I've used it on my own voice most of the time, being fairly loud when I speak performance-style, but I've also used Audacity for a good bit of digitizing audiocassette tapes, and there were some pretty quiet semi-degraded mixtapes in the lot.) They have an excellent manual and a very detailed wiki, so the learning curve isn't that painful, imo - I say that as someone who started with zero experience in audio tweaking.

I used the sound recorder that came with Windows, like I did for the other three podfics I've posted. It worked for them, so I'm 99% sure the problem is with the mike. But I'll look into that program, thanks <3
