Crimson #25
Name: Blossom
Story: Fixed Dreams
Colors: Crimson 12. (The system crashed, the radio buoy got severed, what the fuck does he want us to do?)
Supplies and Styles: Acrylic, Oils, Glitter (wound), Novelty beads (Pill) (Subluxate's prompt from the trick or treat grab bag)
Title: Confusion
Word Count: 360
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Tsukino doesn't understand the situation.
Warnings: mentions of depression, Tsukino's mother (I believe she needs a tag now), and slight moment of helplessness
Notes: I'm reposting a couple of older pieces until I set up the fics journal. I have it up all I have to do is finish it. Don't worry Tsukino does go through some good things and I'll post a happier piece with her in it soon. Enjoy!
“Mom, why don’t you just take the money and buy something with it?”
Saya smirked. “Oh no, you’re going to buy me something.”
Tsukino frowned. “I don’t get it. Here’s my money for the repairs to my laptop. I have it right here.” She placed it on the counter in front of Saya. Saya pushed it aside.
“I don’t want it. I want you to buy me something with it.”
“I bought groceries and makeup for Miki and…”
“That doesn’t count.”
Tsukino grew frustrated. “How doesn’t that count? I thought that did.”
“The groceries don’t count, but Miki’s makeup does. However, that means there are some money I can use.”
“I don’t get it. Why won’t you take the money? I took it out of the ATM to give to you.”
“And I don’t want it.”
“Why not?”
“Because I said so.” Saya placed the knife down on the counter. “I can’t wait to see what you’re going to buy me.”
“I need to go. I have a few errands to run before dinner.” Tsukino placed her hands in her pockets to hide her shaking.
“Alright, see you later.” Saya hummed and started cutting carrots again.
Tsukino grabbed her purse and walked out the front door. She didn’t get it. She went to the bank to get some money just to pay Saya back and she didn’t want it. It was her money and she wanted to pay for the repairs. Even though she took money out to buy Miki an expensive make up kit, that she didn’t need, for her birthday. The gift still wasn’t good enough. Tears prickled the corner of her eyes on the way to the car.
Tsukino made it inside the car safely. She put her key in the ignition when a tear rolled down her cheek. She wiped it away, but another one followed, then another. Tsukino wiped her eyes on the way back to her apartment. She made it back without much trouble. However, when Tsukino closed the door to her apartment she dissolved into tears.
She didn’t hear Kazu’s ringtone as she slid down against the door and cried into her hands.
