Notes: I'm glad I finished this in time. I started one that grew a bit, but I finished this one in time. Oh and human candy is an export for Coven and the surrounding communities. Enjoy!
1. candy apple
A candy apple was one of Bernard’s favorite imported foods from the human world. A whole apple dipped in any sweet flavor sounded good, when he read about it and it tasted even better. He loved candy apples more when he shared them with Alene. Bernard loved the look on Alene’s face when she tried a candy apple for the first time. He wouldn’t forget it.
2. cotton candy
It took Colette three hours, fifteen minutes, and twenty seconds to work up the nerve to talk to the pretty girl at the cotton candy stand. She didn’t understand why it took so long. Colette didn’t have any problem talking to male or females demons alike, but the minute she passed the cotton candy stand she fell tongue tied and couldn’t meet her eyes.
After ten cotton candies, she approached the stand again.
“Hi, are you here for another cotton candy?”
Colette noticed she had a very nice smile. “No, I’m here to introduce myself. I’m Colette. What’s your name?”
“Elina, nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you too.”
Colette hoped it wouldn’t take so long to ask her for a date.
7. lollipop
It was torture to Raynard to watch Alain lick a lollipop while he tried to talk about books. He knew Alain did it on purpose, but he couldn’t say anything or he would know about his crush. Alain made Raynard’s trips to the library better. After he picked out his research selection and more books for his to-read pile, he would talk to Alain. Sometimes they would spend hours talking about their favorite books or arguing about a plot.
It was rare for Ray to find someone that could last when he started talking about books, but Alain kept up with him. It was one of the many things he enjoyed about Alain. Alain’s good looks and easygoing attitude were a bonus as well.
Raynard bit the inside of his cheek when Alain reached for another lollipop.
It would be a long day.
8. gummies
Sofie didn’t like many human sweets, but she always ate the gummies Louis bought home for her.
5. saltwater taffy
Lance blamed Bernard and his wife, Garcelle, for his love of saltwater taffy.
3. gumball
Bijou could buy licorice or marshmallows with her allowance, but she bought a gumball instead.
4. Caramel
Michel didn’t like caramel as much as a teenager, but it became his comfort food as an adult.
6. hard candy
Bella didn’t have any hard candy to give to her grandkids, but had a feeling king size chocolate bars made up for it.
9. Pastels<
Everyone had their favorite human candies. Bernard loved sour candies, Colette liked very sweet ones, Raynard enjoyed gummy worms, Sofie liked gummy bears, and Bijou liked pastels. Bijou was the only one to like them, but she didn’t mind. It meant more for her at their annual Halloween party.
10. Nonpareils
Michel and Bella enjoyed a handful of sweets between them. They didn’t like any of the sour candies or the really sweet ones. Gummies weren’t their thing and they could do without anything overly sticky or that contained syrup. Bella found a box of nonpareils after one of Bernard’s trips. Michel found a box in his office one day after Bijou’s visit.
It became one of their favorite candies.
They requested it whenever their children went on vacation.

After ten cotton candies, she approached the stand again.
Ten cotton candies should help Colette ask for pretty much anything. I mean, the sugar content alone should help break down walls!

She needed the sugar for confidence and it worked!

Alain thanks you for the money. :)
Thank you!
