Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always. This takes place when Sorell Younger is around seven.
Mamma got angry when she found out what Leran was teaching me. I don't get it. She found him for that. But she came into my lesson and she got really mad.
Aunt Keta made me leave, that's how mad Mamma was.
When Mamma came to dinner, there was red under her fingernails. I sneaked back upstairs, and Leran was on the floor, all bloody.
I think Mamma killed him, because of what he taught me.
I ran away real quick, out to my favorite patch of little purple flowers, out in the garden. There's red on my hands, too.

He was starting in on a lesson about the Creation story, the version there. The version taught in Feredar was slightly different, leaving out the part where worthy people were made into mages, and making Meditation into a sort of demonic figure.

...yeah, Sorell Younger is not the stablest person in the world. If he didn't know already, he definitely learned here that Mamma is the scariest person in the universe.
