After yet another chemo therapy, when Nick brings Freya home, she takes him to her room. She ignores his questioning look and takes her guitar out of her closet.

“Did you know?”

Nick shakes his head. Carefully taking the instrument out of her hands.

Coughing Freya sets herself on her bed. He brushes some hair behind her ear and sets himself next to her. “I wish I could have seen you play.”

Freya smiles. “Perhaps when I feel a little better again.”

She lets her head rest on his shoulder. Tired.

Looking to the closet her discovers a Japanese Koto.

This is cute, but I think perhaps the end is a little abrupt? Although it does follow on the theme of things Nick didn't know, so it works that way. I don't know.
