Summary: It is a thin line between friendship and love.

Freya is sitting on the wall. Her feet dangling above the water. For a change she has her black hair lose. It nearly reaches her waist. She doesn’t reach up a hand to brush some locks out of her face. She likes how the wind plays with them.
“Wow.”
She smiles when she hears Nick’s exclamation of surprise. True, the view is stunning. The sea and the setting sun. The sky that colours orange and pink and has all shades of blue. The few slivers of white clouds.
She doesn’t move when he comes sit next to her. His hand right next to hers. Their fingers almost touching. She can feel the warmth of his body and it takes all her willpower not to shuffle closer and let her head rest on his shoulder.
For a second the wind raises in force and she closes her eyes. Tilting her head backwards, letting her hair fly wildly. A small smile on her face.
His soft laugh makes her look aside. Questioningly. He just reaches out, careful fingers picking a flower out of her hair.
“The blossom of the Cherry Tree. It’s all over you.”
She wants to shake her head, but he holds her back.
“Don’t. It’s beautiful.”
A shy smile before she looks at the horizon again.
“You are beautiful.”
It is a soft whisper and she pretends to not have heard it. She knows what he feels. She knows what she feels. But it would only make things awkward between them. And she is not ready yet to risk this friendship. Not yet. Or better said, not now…
