They're gone when he gets home. He shatters a vase when he realizes they aren't coming back.

The bitch left him, left him, and took his children to boot. That whore, probably followed some man home sniffing and whining about how he didn't love her. But she'll learn better soon enough-- he calms, thinking about it. Sooner or later her new fuckbuddy will get sick of her, toss her out. Then she'll remember that she's his.

She's his, and the children are his. They belong to him.

They'll come back. And he'll teach her better than to ever try again.
