Sulphur 15, Faded Blue 8: you could try
Author: Kat
Title: you could try
Story: In the Heart
Colors: Sulphur 15 (Jealousy), faded blue 8 (I'm gonna sit (right) down and write myself a letter / (And make believe it came, though I know it's not the same)).
Supplies and Materials: Tapestry, canvas (again, about seven years before Ivy's birth), seed beads (this is Joanna's mother), charcoal (Fatimah), miniature, acrylic (Touch my mouth/And hold my tongue/I'll never be your chosen one -Broken Crown; Mumford & Sons), stain (Always get married early in the morning. That way, if it doesn't work out, you haven't wasted a whole day. - Mickey Rooney), fabric (this picture), glitter (stranger), photography.
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG.
Summary: Fatimah thought she stopped being jealous when she stopped loving Farid.
Warnings: none.
Notes: Fatimah is Arelie's opposite number in the love triangle. It's a little disconcerting how many of the same prompts applied.
Fatimah thought she stopped being jealous when she stopped loving Farid. It hurts to realize that isn't true.
It's not that obvious. She'll just catch him staring out the window with a distant expression, or see him close his eyes before he gets into bed, and she knows that he's thinking of her.
She's not even here. She left him. Fatimah is here, and their children are here, and she knows he doesn't love her, but he loves them. He could see them, and her. He could know what he has.
It's for that, she thinks, that she hates him.
