Mitchell planned to spend his day off sitting in the sand and reading, and found himself a nice secluded spot to do it in. Nearby there was an old, weathered shack whose windows had been boarded up; some of those boards had been ripped off. By itself this was none of Mitchell's business, but he couldn't ignore the cold miasma of the restless dead.

Well, he could, but he'd hate himself for it.

One of the boards was covered in congealed blood; one look inside and he pulled out his mobile.

"Detective Kellen? It's Mitchell Pathing. Guess what I found?"

Poor guy. Days off sometimes just don't happen as they should. I like the little glimpse into the character this gives me. He seems like a nice person.
