Isshiri made his way down to the dock jut before dawn, as fast as he could, when he heard Captain Taz Hantree was heading out again that morning. He finally found the Morning Glory just as the sun was coloring the clouds. To his relief, he found she hadn't left yet. "Captain?"
She turned. "The Glass prince, yeah?" she said, and smiled. "What can I do for you?"
"Nothing. I mean..." He flushed. "That came out wrong. I just...I'm glad I caught you. I just wanted to thank you, for...getting me out of there."
She smiled again. "No problem," she said. "I'm glad I was there to get you out. All of you."
He nodded. "If there's anything you need...you can contact me, or my family. We...I owe you."
She considered this for a moment, then swept a bow. "I'll keep that in mind. And same to you."
He blinked, then smiled. Of course, she had a career to think of--even if she couldn't come to the City of Glass in person...
"I'll let you get going, then," he said. "I should, too. Good luck to you."
"And you." She grinned at him, then pulled a water platform out of the ocean and launched herself onto her ship.
Show-off.
Not that he was any better.
Grinning himself, Isshiri made his way back to his cousin's house, hoping he'd run into her again someday.

They are, yes. Though he doesn't actually give Roneli to her. He stays up there for a while, then starts spending about half his time up there with his daughter while she learns how to use/control her magic and the other half traveling, as he does, away from all the painful ice. I still don't know when/how he finally tells his family about her. Though if they find out through Taz telling Riluke, they will be very much Not Amused.
