Notes: Constructive criticism is, as always, welcome

3. White: silence & secrecy

The first flower to arrive was a Marguerite. As a kid she always called it a Daisy. Just like her best friend. And it was easier to pronounce. In fact, she still calls it a Daisy.

Surprised she looks at the flower. It is lying on her windowsill. Without a note. Without anything. Just one little simple flower white.

6. Orange: enthusiasm

The next day she finds an orange tulip on the windowsill of her bedroom. Next to it lies a small chocolate. Heart-shaped.

Carefully she picks up both items. Looking around the garden. Wondering if there is someone watching her. Mocking her.

10. Blue: the unattainable

A little bouquet of forget-me-not’s against the window glass. Tied together with a simple blue ribbon. It’s beautiful in its simplicity.

Careful fingers grace the petals. Again she looks around. Wondering if someone is trying to tell her something. And for a second her eyes narrow. As if she finally catches up with something.

Going inside, she places the flowers in a different vase. This bouquet deserve one of its own.

2. Burgundy: unconscious beauty

Her eyes open wide when she finds a red rose the next morning when she opens the curtains. No, not a red one. Burgundy. The color deep and warm and it makes her smile. Honest and open and…

Closing her eyes she brings the flower up. Taking in the smell – she has always loved roses – before she turns around and takes a book from the table. Colors have meanings. And for the second time, her eyes open wide when she reads this one.

4. Pink: “please believe me”

Behind the curtains lies a flower. She knows. And she’s… excited? Curious? Flattered…

Silence & Secrecy. Enthusiasm. Unattainable. Unconscious beauty.

She gets the meanings. Whoever gave these flowers has stayed silent about what he feels for a long while. Now that he speaks up, he’s enthusiastic but thinks she’s unattainable.

Unconscious beauty? The flower-person must know her well. She never things of herself as beautiful.

Taking a deep breath, she opens the curtains. A pink Dahlia. She doesn’t need to look up on that meaning. The little note strapped to it already says it. “Please, believe me.”

9. Lavender: enchantment

She laughs when she sees the lavender spread over her windowsill. Carefully she picks up the flowers, one by one. The smell already filling her room.

Quickly she looks up the meaning.

“Enchantment?”

Another soft laugh. “First you think I’m beautiful. And now you’re telling me I enchanted you?”

She’s already looking forward to the next morning.

5. Yellow: jealousy

Surprised she looks at the book. Yellow = jealousy.

“Jealousy?”

Her thoughts go back to last night. There was a party. And some guys flirting with her. And she was flirting back – she blames it on the last two cocktails. But nothing happened. Not even a kiss…

“So you were there as well. Who are you?”

8. Coral: desire

A blush covers her cheeks when she sees another rose. Coral this time. She had come across the meaning of the color two days ago. Somewhere, deep down, hoping she’d get one. Never believing she’d actually find one on her windowsill…

Picking up the flower she holds it close against her chest. Eyes once again – in vain – searching the garden.

1. red: courage

A sharp intake of breath when she sees him standing before her window. A red rose in his hands. There is so much to read on his face. Fear being the most persisted emotion.

“Red for?”

There is a smile on her face when he offers her the flower.

“For working up the courage to come give you his flower in person.”

She laughs softly when she accepts the flower – their fingers touching. Knowing well enough there is another meaning to the red rose he is holding. After all, red is also the color for love.

7. peach: closing the deal

“I knew it was you after the fifth flower.”

He looks up in surprise when she brings up what has happened three years ago.

“Did you really think I would not recognize your handwriting?”

He smiles before leaning over to kiss her. When they break apart she hands him a rose. Peach colored.

“The other way around, but… Will you marry me?”

Laughing he gently cups her cheek. Whispering “Yes” between every kiss.

Nice use of the prompt! I've always liked how the meanings behind flower colors can be used.
