Green 1, Eton Blue 17: Experience

Title: Experience
Story: In The Heart and Second Genesis
Colors: Green 1 ( green with envy), Eton blue 17 (foreign language).
Supplies and Materials: Frame, eraser (Joy/Chloe AU), collage, mosaic, acrylic (these eyes are judging Wade), feathers (I need it more than you do), fabric (this picture), modeling clay (champion), charcoal (Wade), seed beads, glitter (Finish this sentence: in my experience...), glue (balance between your current need for immediate gratification and your willingness to wait until the time is right).
Word Count: 290.
Rating: PG-13.
Summary: Emmett drops some knowledge on his roommate. It doesn't take.
Warnings: minor misogyny.
Notes: Emmett is Joy and Chloe's son, and the only boy in his generation. If you don't count the raccoon. Nikki-approved.
There was a tie knotted around their doorknob for the third time that week. Wade Schofly did not punch the wall, but it was a close thing.
He retreated to the common room and fucked around on the game system somebody in the dorm had unwisely left unattended until the girl walked past on Emmett's arm, all starry eyes and tousled hair. A few minutes later, Emmett walked back alone, even more starry-eyed than the girl.
Wade snorted. "That's just pathetic, man," he said.
Emmett blinked, focused on him, and looked as displeased as he ever looked. "What, that I love my girlfriend? Your priorities are messed up." He scrubbed a hand through his hair, messing it up even more, and headed for their dorm.
Wade saved his game and scrambled up after his roommate. "The hell do you mean, my priorities? You're the one who wants a relationship and shit."
Emmett, unlocking their door, answered without turning around. "You're not making your case, Wade."
"We're in college!" Wade followed him into the room, shaking his head. "We're supposed to be living it up, man, not, like, settling down and shit."
"And yet," Emmett said, "you got laid, what, once? Maybe?"
Wade rolled his eyes. "Fuck you."
"Look, man," Emmett said. "I love Katie. But even if I didn't? I have two moms and four sisters, I get girls. They want you to like more about them than their vaginas. And if you don't? They don't want you to pretend you do and then drop them as soon as you get your rocks off."
"Fuck you," Wade said again, for lack of anything better to say.
Emmett rolled his eyes, and settled down on his bed with a textbook. "Whatever."
