"Dianna Agron," Ivy said, without even looking up from her book. "Or Eva Habermann. There's this one picture of her in a Santa suit that... I'll find it for you later, you'll see."

Gina, sitting at the table with a cup of tea, arched her eyebrows. "That was awfully fast."

Now Ivy did look up, and grin at her over her feet, crossed and propped on the arm of the sofa. "I like blondes, what can I say? What about you?"

She blew on her tea to cool it, thoughtfully. "Sara Ramirez," she said, at last. "Or maybe Miracle Laurie."

"Miracle Laurie?" Ivy blinked. "Miracle Laurie as in Dollhouse? You watched Dollhouse?"

"Yes," Gina said, looking determinedly at her teacup. "Eliza Dushku is gorgeous."

Ivy giggled. "She is that. I guess if you watched it on silent."

Gina rolled her eyes. "I happen to like Joss Whedon, too."

"Firefly was good," Ivy said. "Never tell Aaron I said so, by the way. He spent most of my teenage years trying to get me to watch it, so I can never tell him that I liked it."

This made absolutely no sense to Gina, but then she was an only child. She supposed you had to have siblings to understand. "Okay. Speaking of Firefly, I would also sleep with Jewel Staite."

"That one," Ivy said, folding her book back against her chest, "would be a threesome. Actually, I would have sex with pretty much any of the women on Firefly. And possibly Mark Sheppard."

Gina raised her eyebrows again. "I don't know, Ivy, he has a penis."

"Yeah..." Ivy dragged the word out, thoughtfully. "Yeah, but I think I could forgive him the dick. I mean, he's Mark Sheppard, Gina."

"Okay." She set her teacup down, and began marking names off on her fingers. "Dianna Agron, Eva Habermann, Mark Shepperd, and the entire female cast of Firefly. If any or all of these people proposition you, you may sleep with them guilt-free."

Ivy smirked, and leaned back against the arm of the couch again, her whole body lazy and inviting. "Same goes if Miracle Laurie, Sara Ramirez, or any of the Firefly ladies proposition you. If it's one of the Firefly ladies, though, call me. Seriously. I meant that about a threesome."

Gina laughed, and picked up her teacup, turning it between her fingers. "I'll keep that in mind."

Ivy blew her a kiss, then asked, "You know I wouldn't, right?"

"I know," Gina said, and smiled at her. After a moment, she added, "All that coffee you drink would put them off anyway. You know it causes bad breath, right?"

This time, Ivy blew her a raspberry.

Even if it's pointless, it's still adorable. Also, good call on the coffee, Gina. Coffee breath is the worst.

Heeee, this is adorable. And yeah, totally with you on all the Firefly ladies + Mark Sheppard, girls. And Mal, Wash, and Simon, too. (It's a pretty cast, what can I say. =P)

Awesome job!

Not pointless at all! This is a very important conversation for long-term partners to have. *nods sagely*

I don't believe any writing is pointless, it's honing your craft, it's exploring the world, getting to know the characters, the world, everything that encompasses the story. So no, it's not pointless, it's never pointless, don't believe it's pointless and don't feel bad about writing something that you think is such.

As for the story itself, it was adorable. It made me smile and laugh. I needed to read something like this right now, something happy and comfortable. Thank you for writing it.

"He spent most of my teenage years trying to get me to watch it, so I can never tell him that I liked it."

THAT IS ENOUGH OF A POINT FOR ME.

Penises can be forgiven in this context. The context of my busting up laughing once for every period there towards the end.
