“Good morning Nelly.”

She smiles politely when she returns her colleague’s greeting.

She’s not the social kind. She’s friendly, but ... more to herself. Not as open as all the other’s on her work floor.

“Oh! That song! Such a great song! It’s been a while since I last heard it.”

Tania walks over to the radio, turns on the volume, sings along. Loudly. It makes the other people on the floor happy, some chuckle softly.

It has a complete opposite effect on her though. For a moment she freezes. Scared. Sad. Angry. There is a memory in the back of her mind, trying to push forward. There’s a man. His long hair falling down his shoulders, like a waterfall. His face, smiling.

But then she shakes her head. Wondering why all these different feelings are running through her. Wondering what that image in her head is.

Closing her eyes she starts to take even breaths. Trying to calm down. Trying to...

“Nelly? Are you alright?”

The concerned voice of Tania. Her hand on her shoulder.

She looks up again, tries to smile reassuringly. Only to find out there are tears running down her cheeks. And the sense of incredible sadness refuses to leave.

Awww, ow, that painful feeling of loss is all the more hurtful because she doesn't know what she's lost.

Ouch. She must be terribly confused, not understanding why she's having these half-memories.
