Summary: Sometimes she just wants to turn back time. Sometimes she wants everything back to how it once was

Fierce eyes look up to him. It’s a look Alan recognizes all too well.
“Caithlynn?”
She shakes her head and looks away. It makes him smile. Carefully he places his hand on her shoulder, feeling her tense under the touch.
“You’re angry with me. But please, don’t shut me out.”
Turning around, she faces him once more. Eyes flashing, for just a second.
“I’m not.” Turning you out. Nor am I angry with you.
He raises his eyebrows. Making her chuckle softly before she turns serious. Sad even.
“I just want a normal life. Why is that too much to ask for?”
His fingers caress her cheek and she leans in the touch. Closing her eyes for a second, just enjoying the feel of his skin against hers.
“It’s like wishing for eternal peace.”
She laughs when she hears Alan’s whispered words.
“Now that would be something great… If not impossible.”
He nods, offering her a hug. One she gladly accepts. She can’t be strong all the time. And when she’s with him, she doesn’t need to be…
