Emerald #10, Lotus #18, Bone Black #14
Story: Untouchable
'Verse: Feredar
Colors: Emerald #10. Wait for it all to turn up - it always does in the end., Lotus #18. Karma, Bone Black #14. Rigor Mortis
Supplies and Materials: miniature, seed beads, frame (1004 FY), oils, stain, chalk
Word Count: 100
Rating: R
Characters: Selmid
Warnings: The Murderer, PTSD
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always.
Since I work with Dad--he’s the Mayor now, but he couldn’t come this year--he sent me to Asendar to make Lester’s report to the Grand Duke. My appointment is later this afternoon, so I stop in a bookstore to kill time.
"...be over soon."
I freeze.
This can't be real, not after twenty years.
If he sees me, he doesn't know me. But I know him.
There's a sickening weight in my chest. I recognize him from coins the sailors spend.
The Lord of the Islands is my nightmare, and there's nothing I can do to stop him.

Good job.

Yeah, the Grand Duke is going to be unwilling to accuse a foreign head of state of murder based on the twenty-year-old memory of a terrified child, unfortunately.

Yeah, at least.
