Supplies and Materials: graffiti (Lilith Faire Day 1: Second Stage), photography, pointillism, miniature collection, paint-by-numbers, watercolors
Word Count: 314
Rating: PG-13
Characters: Deva, Sola, Keta, Tana, Fera
Warnings: Vague references to war/espionage/etc.
Notes: Constructive criticism welcome, as always.
Deva
Deva is a lake--serene on the surface, eldest sister, calm and wise; the tension roiling underneath at her dual role in her father's court, her mother's mission, only rarely ripples to the surface; between the two, she is the gentle mother to a single daughter and faithful wife to a kind husband, tries to be a loving sister and daughter, and she finds her moments of peace and joy like the lake she so resembles.
Sola
Sola sparkles like the stars in the firmament; glittering and beautiful, guiding her father and brothers as they sail the great ship of state; any fears she has carefully hidden in the dark void around her; but she shines, and she smiles, and she knows her power and her place and wouldn't change it for the world.
Keta
Keta is a wooded glade; dappled with sunlight but at times the bright spots seem few and far between, overwhelmed by the shadows in the canopy, but they shine all the sweeter for their rarity, and whatever she has lost, the life she has left is still one that brings her quiet, gentle joy.
Tana
Tana is a storm--thunder and lightning, wild winds and shock and awe, bursting her way through life and leaving stunned silence in her wake; there is an exhileration to being in her presense, an adrenaline to her, fear tinged with excitement in everything she does, in all the things she wants to be and do and love, and she revels in it.
Fera
Fera is sunlight, golden and gentle and sustaining; if, perhaps, she sometimes hides behind the clouds, if, perhaps, life at court has been more of a fragile winter sunshine than she'd hoped at the start, she still shines through, she still gives warmth where she can--and she knows that, someday, the clouds will clear and spring will come and let her shine bright again.
