Tsukino didn’t feel like getting out of bed some days. Rumiko, Minako, or Kaori would call her and help, but sometimes she didn’t turn on her phone. She slid under the covers and for awhile she could forget Miki, her mother, her job, and all the problems they brought. She closed her eyes and tried to go asleep. She looked up when a pair of arms wrapped around her waist. Tsukino opened her mouth to speak, but Kazu shook his head. He kissed her forehead and pulled her closer.

Tsukino sighed in relief.

Kazu understood.
