Summary: Jake, missing Olivia.
Warning: none.
Notes: Jake and Olivia were broken up for a year while she lived with her father.
For fun (not really), Jake mapped out the distance between New York City and San Francisco. It came out at a hair under three thousand miles. Six hours by plane, two days by car, and who knew how long walking, but an impassable gulf all the same.
The worst part was that he knew where she lived. She’d given him her new address herself. He could be there in less than eight hours.
On his worst days he had to remind himself over and over that they were over, she dumped him, no discussion, no arguments. It would be creepy to show up at a house a country away to… what? Get her back? That wasn’t happening. She’d made that choice. Her right, he reminded himself, but it still hurt.
So what if he still saw her face in everyone he passed? They were done.
He still thought about it.
