Melanie wondered sometimes what she would have done if she’d known how her life would be.
If someone at her wedding had a crystal ball, if some future self stepped out of a portal, would she have believed them? Would she have left? Or would she have said her vows, had her son, gone on anyway?
She made mistakes, of course she did. But it wasn’t all bad. She’d liked who she was with Nathan. They’d been happy. She loved him and Aaron still, in her own way.
She couldn’t say what she would have done. She wished she could.
